Over the years, the anonymous Santa has blessed deserving families of the community with a myriad of surprises designed to get them through the stressful holiday season. From cash to cars to toys, the secret Santa's love knows no bounds.

One of this year's lucky recipients of Santa's generosity was Rachel Keppner. The busy mom of 13 was thrown for a loop early this year when her husband, Russell, suffered an aneurysm. Thankfully, Russell survived the medical scare. However, the effects of the incident left him hospitalized for months.

Obviously, with 13 kids, Rachel had to kick into high gear just to keep the family afloat with Russell out of commission. Up until this point, Rachel had kept busy homeschooling her kids and speaking at various conferences about the benefits of this kind of educational experience.

When Russell was hospitalized, Rachel had to also take over bringing in an income for the family of 15. It had been a challenging year but Rachel had worked hard to pull it off.

After hearing the Keppner story, the secret Santa knew that this family should be gifted with something to help them make the holiday season extra special. The East Idaho News sent reporter Nate Eaton to find the family and give them the money.

Eaton found the clan dining at an IHOP in Ammon. The crew handed Rachel a box neatly tied with a ribbon. The tears did not stop once she opened the box to find a check for $5,000

This is the perfect time of the year to spread the joy of the season. After you get the chance to watch the video with Rachel's touching reaction, be sure to make sure everyone in your life also gets to experience the magic of Christmas. We all need good news stories like this in our life!
