There's an old saying that goes along the lines of "communication is key". This is crucial for any relationship regardless of whether or not it is romantic or platonic. This can also be easier said than done. Let's be real. Some topics are kind of awkward to talk about with your pals let alone your partner.
However, no matter how uncomfortable it may be it is extremely important to talk out these topics. You'll avoid unnecessary conflicts and can strengthen your relationship with one another.

2. It's All About The Little Things
If you and your partner have a dandy time doing small things together, your relationship may surpass time itself. It can be easy to be caught up in the grandiose aspects of life, but when you and your significant other enjoy the little things in life, that may be an indicator of a lasting relationship.

This should be a no-brainer but you may be surprised at how often our own egos can damage our relationships. It is important to consider whether or not you're being selfish in the relationship. 7. Errands
If you're willing to stand in the grocery store for a half an hour to buy your partner something they want or need you're the real one. Errands are kind of boring, to be honest. Most people don't enjoy going grocery shopping or shopping for items they don't particularly care about.
Doing this shows you care about each other and are willing to do something unpleasant to please the other person.
8. Sharing Time
Time is one of the most precious things in life. If you're willing to make time for each other even when you're busy shows how much you care about one another. Obviously, you're going to lead individual lives, but you should still try your best to make one on one time with them.
9. Mutual Activities
Common interests allow you to do things together and to keep up conversations with one another. You guys will make memories together that will last a lifetime. Even if the activity may not seem exciting to others, as long as you two are happy that is all that matters.
10. Intimacy
All roads don't have to lead to sex. Holding hands and cuddling are cute acts of intimacy that will keep the relationship fun and wholesome. These are simple ways to express your love and adoration for each other without speaking.
11. Expressing Love
People can't read minds which is why it is extremely important to verbally tell your significant other how much you care about them and what they mean to you. It may seem like your partner knows how you feel, but don't bank on that notion. It's best to explicitly tell them.
12. Humour
Laughter is crucial in a relationship. That doesn't mean either of you are comedians, but there are numerous ways to make each other laugh. Being stressed all the time is no fun at all. Relax with your partner and enjoy the time you guys have together.

Doing new things can be scary but it can also be incredibly rewarding when you are making new memories with the love of your life. Exploring new places and ideas can give you both a new perspective on life and your relationship.
