12-Year-Old Boy's Dream Comes True When He's Adopted By His Closest Friend's Family – Congratulations, Andrew

Andrew is a 12-year-old who lives in Nashville, Tennessee, and does not come from a stable home. Unfortunately, he has spent most of his life in the foster system. He became good friends with a boy named Joc Gill. The Gill Family had served as his foster family for several years. However, things changed for the better when The Gill family adopted Andrew.

It is easy to take growing up in a loving and kind family for granted. Not every child had the blessing of a mom and dad who thought the world of them. Unfortunately, there are millions of children who do not have a loving home. Andrew is a 12-year-old boy from Nashville, Tennessee, who can relate with children in this situation.

He lived in the foster care system for half of his young life. However, Andrew’s luck changed when the Gill Family recently adopted him.

He became fast friends with Joc Gill. Joc is the son of the family who has been Andrew’s foster family for the last few years. The two boys enjoy playing video games and eating pop tarts. Kevin and Dominique Gill are the parents of Joc and have always loved having Andrew around.

Molly Parker worked for the Youth Villages and surprised Andrew while walking in the park. He was delighted to hear the news about being officially adopted by the Gills. Andrew turned around and saw everyone standing there. The Gill family asked if he would accept their offer and Andrew said, yeah. 

Statistics show more than 8,000 children in the Tennessee Foster System waiting for a forever home. Now, it is one less child waiting because of the kindness of the Gills. The boys turn to each other and said, “This is my brother.”
