Blake Walker is just 11-years-old, but that doesn't mean he isn't already accomplished in his musical career. In 2018, Blake recorded a cover of Josh Groban's You Raise Me Up and his rendition is simply stunning. Blake clearly knows the power of music and proves that there's no such thing as being too young to communicate musically with others.

Alongside the song, Blake has released an accompanying music video to the tune, which starts with a scene of Blake in school. After first showing scenes of Blake and his classmates sitting inside a classroom, the next scene depicts Blake sitting outside singing as kids play in the playground in front of him.

In yet another scene, Blake is walking on a path alongside some flowering blossom trees. A few other children join him and sing along with him. The rest of the video shows Blake walking the halls of his school along with his classmates, cut with an ever-growing choir of children singing along with him as they stand under the blossom trees. The video ends with Blake giving a girl some flowers from the blossom trees.

It's a rather mature video for an 11-year-old but so is the song. Blake has proven that his maturity extends far beyond his years, allowing him to sing such a powerful song, and that extends to the music video he's made for it. Blake is a member of the One Voice Children's Choir, which no doubt plays a role in what a talented and grown-up young musician he is.

Originally written in 2002 by Norwegian-Irish pair Secret Garden, You Raise Me Up has since been covered by more than 100 artists. One of the most popular renditions is Josh Groban's cover from 2003, which made it to number one on the Billboard adult contemporary chart in 2004.

Josh Groban has performed the song at a number of high-profile events, helping to popularize his version. He sang You Raise Me Up at Super Bowl XXXVIII, as well as at Oprah Winfrey's 50th birthday party.

The song is widely loved and is described as, "a song of hope that is inspiring at any stage of life" on Blake's YouTube page. The caption further explains the power of the song: "When you feel discouraged and lonely, the world can feel very dark and unfriendly. Don't despair, you are not alone! You are surrendered by angels who raise you up, both seen and unseen. As you are lifted up by others, the world completely changes into something beautiful and hopeful. It gives you the strength to face your challenges and then in turn, help others to rise. You can be their angel too!"
