When you find your calling in life, you won't let anything stop you from doing it, not even turning 100! Rose Landin is 101 and has been in love with the Texas State Fair since she was a little girl. For the last 25 years, she's been a staple at the information booth.

Initially, Rose didn't have plans to work at the fair. She was married and had her own job. But then her husband passed, and after a battle with breast cancer, Landin realized she needed something new to add positivity and purpose to her life.

"I worked for 40 years," Landin said to Inside Edition, "I had to have a job." While working at the fair, Landin gets to talk with all sorts of interesting people and provide them with a wealth of information about the fair.

"I thought I was going to do a million things, but I didn't do any of them," Ladin to the press. The realization that she still had a life to lead inspired her to apply for a job at the fair. Not only does the Texas-native love her state, but she loves what the fair represents.

Getting to be a part of something that sparks joy in so many peoples' hearts brings joy to the 101-year-old's life. Now, she is a regular at the fair, and she's made many friends since she started working at the information booth. The connections she makes and conversations she has with the fairgoers keep her warm long after the season has ended.

As for her secret to living to be over 100, Ms. Landin simply says to reporters, "You get up every morning." Maybe that's all we really need to do. Rather than seeking to make every day extraordinary, we can embrace the simplicity of routine, and find something that makes us happy to be waking up for another day.
