101-Year-Old Mom Forced Her Son To Pull Over At Sight Of Snow So She Could Play

Have you ever felt like doing something spontaneously, like going for a night stroll alone or eating out at a restaurant you haven't visited for years? There can be plenty of reasons why people randomly do things. Maybe they just wanted to walk on a trip down memory lane, or maybe, they just felt like doing them. But sometimes, people do random things because they know these are things they might never experience or bring back again. That couldn't be any truer for someone who lived the most out of her life.

In November 2015, a 101-year-old woman named Albina Foisy from the town of Lillooet in British Columbia captured the hearts of many for bringing out the child in her even though she had already lived a life that surpassed more than a century at that time.

Her reaction while going for a walk in the snow was one of the purest moments you'll probably see from a centenarian. Not only was she happy, but she was also extremely overjoyed.

Her son, Armand, shared a video of her on Facebook, which had been viewed 10 million times as of 2022.

In the video, Albina can be seen laughing and smiling while making a snowball. After making one, she threw it as hard as she could. "It's kind of fun to play in the snow," Albina said.

"Here's proof that if you find pure joy in the simple things you can live 100 years," Armand wrote in the caption of the video.

Armand said it was raining in Lillooet, but it suddenly snowed, which rarely happens in their town. So, he, together with his mom, decided to check if there was any traffic coming in.

"I turned the car about three kilometers from town. But before we could get back on the road, the door flies open and out steps mom," Armand narrated in the video.

"When you have a mother that's a hundred and one years old, it's a good idea to keep the camera nearby for those special moments. This is one of those," he shared.

When Albina saw herself on TV, she could only utter words of astonishment and joy. Armand also had the chance to capture the precious moment. "That's me, that's me! Oh no," Albina said.

Just like most ordinary people who see themselves on television, Albina was in disbelief when she found out she had made it to the news.

"I'm a celebrity, for heaven's sake, and I don't know it," Albina told Global News in an interview.

"To say that she is absolutely thrilled and amazed is a total understatement," Armand told CBC about his mom's reaction.

Armand revealed that his mom had always been adorable. "It was one of those innocent moments that come around fairly often with my mother," Armand told ABC News.

There's no news about Albina, but it was during his birthday in 2019 when Armand last shared a video with her in it.

Meanwhile, people said they just couldn't stop watching Albina's video even though it has been years since it was first shared on the internet. "No matter how many times I watch this it brings a smile. She was such a special lady," one person commented on Armand's video.

"So wonderful. I'm glad that you caught this magical moment with your mum," another person stated.

While some people may not agree, Albina's video enjoying the snow is one of the most priceless and unforgettable ones – and it's great Armand captured it.
