Sibling bonds cannot be broken. One brother and sister pair are hoping to stay together for the long term as they continue their search for their forever family.
Even though Dakota is the younger sibling, she still takes on a protective role looking out for her 10-year-old brother, Hunter. Dakota is described as being creative and nurturing. She loves to swim, go to church, and is into fairytales and princesses.
Hunter loves to play with Legos. He also enjoys math and solving problems. He is described as being curious and energetic.

It is truly adorable to see Hunter and Dakota together.
It is clear that they have had to stick close together through all of the adversity in their lives. Hunter said that his favorite thing about his little sister is how much she cares about him. Without a stable family, the two have had to be each other's support and encouragement throughout all of the ups and downs of life.
“My favorite thing about Dakota, she really cares about me,” said Hunter in the interview with WGHP. “Sometimes, when I fall, she comes and helps me. I don’t know what my life would be without her.”
While foster care agencies aim to keep siblings together through the adoption process, not every family has a happy ending. It can be challenging to find prospective adoptive families that are willing to take in more than one child permanently.
Everyone will be sure to melt when they see this adorable video of Hunter and Dakota:
