When grandparents Arthur and Polly were struggling to heal from cancer, their talented granddaughter started painting for them. After the painting was completed, her mother Karen got a firsthand glimpse of just how talented her daughter really was.

She knew that her daughter was creative; but the beauty of the finished artwork showed her the depth of her daughter's talent.

As BBC Yorkshire tells, the finished product also sparked ideas in Daisy's mind that there were other ways to help people suffering from cancer just like her grandparents. She started creating more beautiful flowers and floral paintings.

Her mother suggested that she auction them off and give the proceeds to organizations that help cancer patients. Daisy eagerly signed on that idea and got busy with her paints.

Right out of the gate, according to Daily Mail, her first painting sold at auction for £9500 (nearly $13,000). Not bad for her first try. And since then, her paintings have continued to garner attention, earning more than $65,000.

She even had international requests for limited-edition copies of her artwork and was able to sell additional copies. As planned, all the proceeds were donated to cancer-related charities.

Since her initial success, she has been dubbed "mini Monet." She has also realized that there are still more charities that could benefit from her extraordinary gift. Expanding upon her charitable endeavors, she decided to help front-line workers by creating a picturesque rainbow of daisies.

That painting was subsequently used on magnets and postcards and sold to the public. For her hard work, she earned upwards of $2000 for the United Kingdom National Health Service.

Thankfully, her philanthropic efforts have not gone unnoticed. The Prime Minister of the UK has named her the 1456th Point of Light honoree and presented her an award on August 20. The recognition and reward are well deserved.

Her parents are also very proud of what their daughter has accomplished, but admit that their daughter is not fazed by all the attention. She is a very focused and determined young girl.

In light of the fact that her name is Daisy, and she has created beautiful artwork to help people by painting daisies, it feels like destiny.
