10 Reasons Why Your Mom Is The Best

May 08, 2018 by apost team

Moms are there for us our entire lives. Without moms, no one could exist. It's one thing that they go through the struggle of carrying us for nine months, but they love us more than they thought they could ever love anything. Moms are the greatest.

Mothers are always there for their children when they're sick, when they need advice, when they want to play, and when they're sad. At some point, many of us wonder who we really are and what our purpose is, but our mothers often know us better than we know ourselves. They have watched us grow and did everything they could to give us the best life and make us good people.

Here are 10 ways our moms have shown us the greatest love we'll ever know:

1. They were our first home.

Although every mom will tell you that being pregnant and giving birth was the best experience of their life, know that it wasn't all rainbows for her. Pregnancy is incredibly tough on a woman's body, and she'll be different for the rest of her life. They wouldn't trade the experience for the world, but you should still be grateful she let you live inside of her for 9 months.

2. They stayed awake so we could sleep.

The first year of a child's life is the most strenuous for a mom. She stayed up round the clock to nurse you, rock you, change your diaper, and make sure you were perfectly taken care of.

3. They only give us the best.

Whether it was their breast milk as infants or healthy homemade meals as children, we can thank our moms for always ensuring we had proper nutrition. Moms always make sure we have regular doctor's appointments to double check that we are in perfect health.

4. They always put us first.

When you become a parent, you make the decision to give up your own life to live for your child. There are tons of things your mom wants to do for herself, but she would give up anything to make you happy. Moms give us everything they have.

5. They make a house feel like home.

Leave it to our mothers for nesting. They might have painted your room, bought you all your favorite toys, and decorated your room with your favorite theme. As you grow up and your tastes change, they're happy to start from scratch and make something you absolutely love.

6. They cheer us through school.

The past couple generations are a lot more likely to have not gone to college. Parents always want their children to have a better life, so they do everything they can to push you through your education. School is tough, but she knows you'll have better opportunities than what she had at your age.

7. They protect us.

This goes for almost every species- you should never mess with a mama or her kids! She may look soft and fragile, but if anyone threatens her kids, she would give her life to make sure they are safe.

8. You have a best friend from birth.

Usually, at adolescence, we resent our parents, but most teenagers eventually grow into adults with great friendships with their parents. Now that they no longer have to baby you since you know right from wrong, you can stop seeing them as a discipliner and start seeing them as a friend who is there for you no matter what.

9. They teach us about love.

Whether it's through sitting down and chatting with you or leading by example through their own relationships, mothers want their kids to know that they deserve love that is healthy and rich. They were the first people to directly teach us about selfless love, and it's difficult to find someone else who can love you nearly as fiercely as your mom.

10. They help us be the best we can be.

They want to celebrate all of your successes, but they also knew when you needed some tough love. Every action she did was to better you. Your mom's biggest goal is to watch you live the best life you can ever possibly live.

Be sure to send this to your mom to show her how much you love her, too. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!
