10 Reasons Why Aquarius Is Tough To Love

We really like our freedom. We don’t like being told we can’t see certain people or do certain things. This can lead to big problems in a relationship. Once we have committed to you, we are all in, but we still need room to spread our wings.

We Aquariuses have a confession to make: we are forgetful and disorganized. We aren’t good at keeping up with dates on a calendar. We have been known to miss birthdays and anniversaries. If you’re the type of person who’s easily hurt by this, an Aquarius might not be the right partner for you.
 

Aquarius is a rebellious sign. Sometimes we get into trouble just because we’re bored. If we feel like we’re being stifled, we may act out just to get attention. Sometimes we are a little immature.
 

We look at our loved ones like puzzles that need solving. We can be annoying when we ask too many questions or when we want to pry into parts of your life that you don’t want to share. We do this not because we want to get on your nerves, but because we genuinely want to understand you so we can have a better relationship. It’s hard to remember that when someone is picking away at you.
 

This is a big one. While we are loving and kind people most of the time, we really don’t care what others think of us. We act up in public and do embarrassing things. It’s hard to fly under the radar with an Aquarius partner. If you can appreciate our creativity, you might find this easier to deal with.
 

The Aquarius is friendly and outgoing, but we might seem superficial at first. We don’t let anyone in, emotionally speaking, until we are sure of their commitment. If an Aquarius hasn’t committed to you, don’t be surprised if you don’t hear much about their inner thoughts and feelings. Our love is deep, but we don’t love someone unless we trust them first.
 

This may not seem like a bad thing, but it can snowball into a problem. If we are in a relationship, we are 100% committed. If someone leaves or hurts us, we have a really hard time coming back from that. If you make a mistake and hurt an Aquarius, we will probably shut down. We may not let you back in again if we feel we can’t trust you.
 

We are a restless sign. We are always hunting for the next adventure. We don’t like to sit around and be bored. An Aquarius loves to get out there and be in the thick of things. Sometimes our partners might be hurt by this, thinking that we are bored with them. This isn’t true at all. We are looking for new things to experience with our partners.
 

We want to be in love, but we are emotionally reserved. We are creative and like to explore, but when we settle down, we want things exactly the way we want them. It’s hard to pin us down, do we want it one way or the other? We like to keep our options open at all times.
 

Even when we settle down, we don’t always want to do it the way everyone else does. We like long-distance relationships because they give us the feeling of being in love while having our freedom. Sometimes we won’t want to move in together when the relationship gets serious. This isn’t because we don’t love you, it’s just our nature.
