Jessica and Chris Hill finally got to bring their miracle baby home from the hospital after the infant spent 113 days fighting for his life in the NICU. Accoridng to Goodmorning America, Finn James Hill was born on May 21, weighing in at only one pound and two ounces. The micro-preemie was born via an emergency cesarean section nearly four months before his actual due date in early September.

When Finn was welcomed into the world, his doctors told his parents that he only had a 50% chance of survival. But Jessica and Chris never gave up on their little fighter.

It was a long road to get where they are today. The couple from Florida had struggled with infertility for nine years, including multiple unsuccessful attempts at in-vitro fertilization. Jessica then decided to go the route of embryonic adoption.

Although the first attempt was unsuccessful, she was overjoyed to become pregnant with twins on the second try.

The joy was quickly marred when she lost one of the twins at only 10 weeks gestation. Finn survived, however, a blood clot caused Jessica's water to break when she was 24 weeks along. Doctors advised Jessica that the baby would have a better chance of survival on the outside than he would if he remained in the womb.

Finn was moved from the Lakeland Regional Medical Center where he was born to the Nemours Children’s Hospital’s level 4 NICU a few weeks after the delivery. While at Nemours, Finn underwent a host of treatments and procedures, including two surgeries.

Jessica could not contain her emotions when she was finally able to hold her little boy for the first time, calling the experience unbelievable.

Finn was released to go home on September 10. He is now thriving and enjoying his life at home with his loving parents. Little Finn also has a facebook page called "Fighting Finn," where people are able to follow his remarkable recovery.
