Witty Dad Photoshops Pictures of Preemie Baby To Make Him Look All Grown Up

Most parents have big dreams for their kids and they always hope they will be amazing. People dream of who they will become and hope that they can guide them to being the best versions of themselves.

Recently, one new father realized he wasn’t going to let an early delivery date cause him any concern. His son was born prematurely. However, Matt Mac envisioned his son Ryan’s early birth as an opportunity for the child. The World Health Organization revealed that there are more than 15 million preterm babies born every year.

Ryan was one of many. He was born nine weeks too early and he was so small he didn’t even weigh three pounds. The little tyke spent his first six weeks of life in the NICU. It was incredibly difficult for the two parents as Mac revealed.

"Our son Ryan was born 9 weeks premature weighing just under 3 lbs. He spent 6 weeks in the NICU and it seemed to last forever. We joked that he wasn’t premature just “advanced” – so I came up with the idea that we should do a photoshoot of him doing manly adult things."

He decided that even though things didn’t go quite to plan, it wouldn’t stop them from creating the best opportunities for their child.

Mac revealed that he photoshopped photos of his young daughter when she was first born. He would photoshop her playing sports as if she was a professional athlete right from birth. Mac revealed he intended to do the same thing with his son.

Instead of looking at the premature baby as an issue, they decided to reframe it. They didn’t want to look at all the complications of the premature baby and how hard it might be for their young son. Instead, Mac wanted to look on the bright side of things. They joked that the child was simply advanced and was ready to come out into the world.

Mac came up with the idea to show how advanced his baby son was by photoshopping him doing advanced adult things. The resulting pictures are hilarious. Mac shows photographs of his son doing all sorts of “manly” things. He is shown working out, working on the car, even shaving.

The funny photographs show young Ryan as the advanced child that he is, even though Mac had to have some elaborate setups to get the photos right. The safety-conscious father indicated that he always made sure his son was safe.

The only thing dangerous about the photographs were done in the editing process. Mac reveals that the child was never in harm’s way and he was always being held.

Mac encourages other parents of premature babies to stay positive and be patient. It is important to seek support too and look on the bright side.
