Witness Captures The Moment A Mailman Approaches The Most Dangerous Dog On The Street

Postal workers have labor-intensive, stressful jobs, and their work environment adds to their difficulties on the job. These professionals spend many long hours outdoors each day, so they are exposed to brutal elements.

They also periodically are confronted by aggressive pets. While some mail carriers may have shied away from a seemingly ferocious German shepherd who was guarding his home, this was not the case for one brave man.

According to the Inside Edition, Kyza is only 9 months old, but she has the full size and menacing appearance of an adult German shepherd. According to Michale Collins, Kyza's owner, Kyza is deemed as a "dangerous" or "unapproachable" dog by others, something he believes is not true.

When one mailman approached the home to make a delivery, he did not judge the book by its proverbial cover. He approached the dog cautiously and was thrilled to find that Kyza is a sweet, playful puppy.

This delivery professional now regularly visits the home to show Kyza some attention even when he does not have a delivery at the home. Michale Collins noticed the strong friendship between Kyza and the mailman, and he decided to capture their cute interaction on video.

He wrote: 

Just want to share something cool! Everyday whether or not we have mail this mail man always stops to see my dog who is only 9 months old. He always gets over looked as a dangerous or unapproachable dog, Maybe cause he's big i am not sure. He doesn't bark at them or growl ( Maybe the odd couple times he barks at people but which dog doesn't ) But this guy here always makes an effort to get off his bike to give him a hug and a pat! I'm not sure who to tag on Facebook for him to see this! But thanks man keep up the good job and you've definitely got a friend waiting for ya!!

The video shows the delivery man placing his bike on the ground and walking up to a short fence. Kyza runs immediately up to the man and jumps on his hind feet to accept a warm hug. With the dog’s tail wagging wildly and with the man beaming with joy, it is clear from the video that these two unlikely friends cherish their unique relationship.

This is a story that reminds us not to judge a book by its cover. Any dog regardless of its breed can be aggressive and dangerous just as any dog can be sweet and friendly.
