Steve Cutts has worked for years as an animator and illustrator in London, England. His iconic works are inspired by the graphic novels and comic books of the 1930s and 1940s. Before he started freelancing, the talented illustrator worked for a London-based creative agency called Glue Isobar.

Steve's most famous work was about a cartoon film called “MAN.” While the film is fun to watch, it is interspersed with a lot of animal rights and environmentalist themes. Basically, Steve wanted to look at how mankind relates to animals and the natural world.

Since the film was released in 2012, it has received a whopping 28 million views on YouTube. After a few seconds of watching the video, you will quickly see why it has become so popular.

Is Modern Man Any Better Than An Animal?

Animals might not have modern science, doctors or spaceships, but they also do not cause wars, pollution or inequality.

We think that modern humans have progressed so much, but technology does not mean that we are more humane. All of Steve's films look at how modern society affects us.

Are we really any better than animals?

Like most artists, Steve sees his cartoons and videos as a way to express his views on modern society.

He wants people to stop and think about the way the world is headed. Are we making the right choices in life? Should we change the way we live?

While “MAN” might be his most popular film, Steve has a number of other videos that have received a lot of attention.

In 2017, he was even given the Jury Award at the Annecy International Film Festival for the music video called “Are You Lost in the World Like Me?”

When you see the video, you will immediately realize why he received such a distinction.
