This Cover Of A Christmas Classic By Susan Boyle Will Give You Goosebumps

Dec 01, 2018

Susan Boyle first came onto the international stage in a memorable and dramatic fashion. In case you don't remember the story, Boyle lived alone with her cat named Pebbles and was out of a job.

She decided that, since she had nothing to lose, she would take a long shot at pursuing her dream to become a famous singer.

She auditioned to be on Britain's Got Talent and actually made it onto the show.

Because Boyle's appearance lacked the glitz and glamour often associated with celebrities, some of the judges appeared skeptical when she came out to perform. That skepticism turned to outright contempt by Simon Cowell, one of the most outspoken of those judges, when Susan claimed to want to become equal in fame to actor/singer Elaine Page.

Simon, the rest of the judges, and the audience were all completely unprepared for what came next!

This ordinary-looking woman opened her mouth and it seemed as if the voice of an angel came out.

Her performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" became an instant sensation. YouTube and social media users throughout the world have viewed the shocking moments from that "Britain's Got Talent" appearance that thrust Ms. Boyle into the limelight millions and millions of times over the years.

Boyles notoriety has grown and remained strong over the years. She's built a successful career yet managed to keep her unassuming, pleasant spirit. She's released a total of six albums, including her debut "I Dreamed a Dream" album. These albums have combined sales of over 25 million copies across the globe.

It was Boyle's second album, a Christmas collection, which included such popular holiday tunes as "Away in a Manger" and "The First Noel." One of the most magical moments of Ms. Boyle's career took place when she appeared on Larry King Live to showcase one of the album's hit songs.

She begins the first haunting phrases of "O Holy Night" on a dark stage wearing a sophisticated and elegant black dress. As the lights come on, to the crowd's delight, a sweet-looking children's choir is shown behind the superstar dressed in snow white gowns.

Susan's voice soars as she expertly hits both the low and high notes of this beloved carol. During the third verse of the song, the children's choir opened their mouths and poured forth beautiful harmony that reminded the audience of a heavenly choir. With her rich tones and their clear voices, the result is truly inspiring!
