Texas Dad And Bride Perform Dance Medley On Wedding Dancefloor

Dec 12, 2019

Weddings are a bitter-sweet time for families, and they can be especially hard on dads. While fathers are generally glad to see their daughter starting a new life with a man that they love, it can feel like they are losing their little girl.

When Ashley got married in Houston, Texas, her dad, David, decided that it was time to send her off on her new course with a special daddy-daughter wedding dance.

It all started when the groom and bride took a break from dancing, and the new husband motioned for David to come up and take the stage. David steps up onto the stage as calmly as if he has been preparing for this day his entire life, and takes Ashley into his arms, holding her hand in his as they slow dance together.

The crowd watches in awe as they dance calmly, their special bond reflecting in their eyes and the way that they hold one another.

But, just when everyone thinks that the dance is going to just be a touching time between the dad and his special daughter, everything changes! The tempo to the music picks up and the two break apart to boogie down. No longer slow-dancing, they start to break out in impressive moves, throwing their hands up in the air and beaming as they perform the routine.

Some of the songs that they dance to include “I Want You Back” by the Jackson 5 and Jennifer Hudson’s “Love You I Do”.

The routine ends with Beyonce’s famous song “Single Ladies” with the two of them tossing out moves that are hilarious and, at the same time, stunning. Everyone in the crowd is laughing so hard that it looks like they might not be able to survive the performance without hyperventilating!

After the show was over, someone managed to upload a video that they had caught on YouTube so that it could be enjoyed by the world. Sure enough, everyone loved it with it gathering over 23 million views! Even though the video is only four minutes long, it’s gained over 100,000 likes since it was first uploaded.

Watch the video for yourself and see what you think of this special wedding dance. Do you think this is the best daddy-daughter dance you’ve seen? After watching the video, invite your friends to view it as well. Maybe your soon-to-be-married friends can plan an even more exciting wedding routine!
