Terrifying Moment Great White Shark Steals Fisherman’s Catch

Sep 24, 2018

In the video featured here, a great white shark makes sure it gets a good dinner by stealing someone's fish. The fisherman that is in the video was on a boat near Massachusetts when he caught a fish on his line. He tried to reel it in but it never reached the boat.

Then, a great white shark came out of nowhere and stole the fisherman's prize.

The man had no idea what was about to happen while he was reeling in the fish.

However, someone on the boat said something about a "bait fish" so that should have been a flag that something was about to occur.

If you don't know what a bait fish is, it's a small fish that is used to attract larger predatory fish. This technique could have worked but that's not what they were planning to do.

You can tell in the video that the shark appearing was a surprise to the men on the boat. They gasped and even cursed as the shark got in there and stole their fish.

The video was then shared online, and they explained in further detail what happened while they were on the boat.

They said they were fishing on the Head Hunter in Chatham, Mass. When the video was being taken, they were about five miles off Nantucket.

The filmer of the video thought he was taping his brother getting a striped bass when out of no-where a great white shark ate the fish.

They were in shock to see this cunning fish devour another.

In another video, a shark gets an easy meal out of a humpback whale. The whale was towed out to sea so that sharks would be attracted and professional shark taggers could tag them. This was taken by Keith Poe, who has been tagging sharks for 25 years. He also works with the scientists to take samples and then release the many species of sharks.

He has various situations that he has to deal with, and sometimes this includes bringing dead whales that have washed up out to sea, attracting sharks and tagging them.

The great white shark tears chunks from the whale carcass in the video. The shark seemed to have eaten so much she was swimming upside-down like she was intoxicated.

This went on for about 18 hours and Keith was able to grab lots of photos and videos.
