RJ Beacham has big dreams. The Chicago teenager is aiming to be an NFL player one day in the future. RJ's football career began at just four years old when he joined the Mt. Greenwood’s Metro Youth Football League.

Ever since the first time he picked up the ball, RJ anxiously awaits the beginning of each new season, ready to take to the gridiron and prove that he has what it takes to play professionally someday. Unfortunately, RJ was never able to take to the field last year. A weight limit rule meant that RJ was benched for being over the limit for his age group.

Although he was disappointed, he vowed to never let it happen again. With the help and guidance of his mother, Shaunta Williams, RJ was able to lose more than 20 pounds reports CBS. The strict diet and workout regimen involved eating habits focused on protein shakes and vitamins. With a lot of hard work, RJ was able to go from 192 pounds to 165 pounds.

RJ's dreams came crashing down when he realized that the weight limit for his age group of 12-14-year-old players was actually 160 pounds and not the 165 he had been told. RJ and Shaunta still do not know why they were given the wrong weight limit information.

While some may chalk this up to a learning experience for RJ, it is easy to understand why the teen is disappointed over the misinformation.
