Super Rare Puppy With Fascinating Blue Eyes Couldn't Be Sold With Broken Leg, Ends Up At Shelter

Tahani is a special puppy in more ways than one. Not only is the 10-week-old a rare designer breed -- a Siberian husky bred with a Pomeranian, aka a "pomsky" – she's strikingly gorgeous.

Breeders sell dogs like her for thousands of dollars. Tahani, though, was dumped at an animal shelter as if she had no value at all.

The workers at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals were surprised to see such a beautiful, valuable dog. Despite her rarity and beauty, Tahani had a broken leg. The workers thought she probably broke it while playing with her littermates.

The breeder didn't care how or why it happened. The injury made Tahani worthless to her. Since she couldn't sell Tahani, the breeder left her to her fate at the shelter.

The staff at MSPCA knew right away that Tahani deserved so much more. In addition to being a rare designer breed, she has unusual blue eyes that stand out against her chocolate-colored coat. Beyond her looks, Tahani displayed sweetness and bravery in having her leg treated.

As for her leg, it's improving every day. It needs weekly treatment and some special care, but Tahani should heal up just fine. She'll make someone a wonderful pet.

She's currently wearing a splint in her foster home. The MSPCA knows they need to find an extra special forever home for her to go to once she heals. But she's sure going to enchant her new owner with her piercing eyes!
