Service Dog Notices Owner Starting To Shake, Its Next Move Caught On Camera

Jul 20, 2018

People with all kinds of health concerns may be helped by service dogs. They are trained to detect and respond to a variety of medical conditions. Amber Oliver is a professional dog trainer who has panic attacks that leave her helpless. She used her training expertise to teach her dog Oakley how to help her.

Oakley can tell when her heart rate, breathing and body temperature change in a way that signal that a panic attack is coming on. Amber caught Oakley's amazing skills on video when she was in a waiting area at the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Her incredible video of the whole thing is quickly going viral.

In the video, you can see Oakley react immediately the moment he senses Amber is descending into a panic attack. First, he jumps up, wags his tail and whimpers to get her attention.

Next, he pressed her hands apart, which have flown up to cover her face. She has trained him to do this and to bring her hands down so she is touching him instead. This helps reduce her panic. Finally, Oakley allows her to cling onto him and pet him until she calms down.

Watch to see how quickly he responds and the great rapport between the two of them.

This is an incredible display of human-canine interaction and the emotional intelligence of dogs. If you have other dog lovers and owners in your life, send this video their way!
