Senior Living Facility Publishes The Sweetest ‘First Day Of School’ Pictures Of Its Residents

A senior living facility in Oklahoma City has gotten their residents to participate in a heartwarming viral photo trend!

Summer is on its way out the door, and the new school season is here! There a lot fewer pictures of white sandy beaches on your social media, and there are a ton of pictures of happy kids off to their first day of the school year. Lots of cool parents are getting their kids to make awesome signs to commemorate the special occasion.

Everyone is proud of their children, and every parent wants to make these little moments extra special for the little ones. It’s a trend that’s been sweeping the nation recently, but it’s not just for kids! The Village on the Park senior living facility of Oklahoma City wasn’t satisfied with leaving all the fun to the youngsters, so they recreated the idea with their favorite senior citizens.

The staff at this great senior living facility aren’t afraid to back up their residents in style! They’ve made tons of posts on social media letting the whole world know exactly how they feel about the people they work with every day. Village on the Park wanted to get everyone involved with the viral trend, and they helped the seniors make their signs for the fall. Residents each shared special things about them on their back-to-school signs.

Most of the kids who post pictures for school will write how old they are, and they might write something about their class. Some of the kids share what they are excited about, but it always revolves around the first day of their new class.

How fun is it to get involved with your kids on such a great art project that you can remember for years to come? It just goes to show you how easy it is to stay in touch with the ones you love. There’s no wondering about the motivation behind the enthusiasm that this senior living facility has for their residents!

Village on the Park wanted to give that same warm experience this fall to the loving people at their facility. The faculty created fun posters for each member of the senior community to pose with in their fall photos, and it was a huge success! Each sign was about celebrating the first day of the rest of their lives. It included their ages, and some of them included the year they graduated from high-school. Most of the pictures have their goals for the year at the bottom of the poster-board. 

Every picture has a heartwarming message that gives insight on what each person is going through. Most residents are looking forward to seeing loved ones, but others are hoping to overcome their medical issues. It’s a real-life look at how the elderly view their future.

This project is all about uplifting everyone to make their lives better, and it’s about joining in on all of the fun! There were lots of different answers when the participants were asked to share their self-improvement goals for the year. It’s just so joyful to see the positive outlooks that were shared during this amazing project!

It has encouraged many locals to make charitable donations, and many people have contacted the facility about volunteering. That’s all thanks to these adorable pictures circulating online. The whole city seems to want to make their wishes come true this fall!

Lots of the wishes that the seniors put on their signs are being fulfilled right now by generous citizens in Oklahoma City. Tons of people who saw the photos on social media have given gifts, and other people in the local area are planning on visiting the residents to make their dreams a reality.

Around 50 seniors took part in this amazingly fun photo-shoot. They received tons of great compliments from all around the world. It wasn’t easy, but the Village on the Park has outdone themselves this year. It’s a very needed reminder to honor our elders in the years to come.
