It's hard to believe that it has been two years since the Queen's granddaughter, Princess Eugenie, got married to her long-time love, Jack Brooksbank in a lavish ceremony at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. Princess Eugenie chose to mark the occasion with a slideshow of previously unseen photographs of the couple, including 3 photos from her wedding in 2018. The montage is set to London Grammar's "Baby It's You". The caption reads,

" Been the best 2 years married to you and 10 years with you in total…happy memories always my dear Jack"

In one photo from their wedding which was taken from behind, Princess Eugenie and her husband share an intimate kiss after their wedding, while in another they are seen beaming together in each other's arms.

Apart from the new wedding photos, Princess Eugenie also shared pictures of the couple's holidays and outings, such as one with a group of penguins in the background, and a couple of them just smiling for the camera. Their happiness and love for each other certainly shines through the musical montage.

This year is a special one for the couple in more than one way: Princess Eugenie announced on Instagram that she was expecting her first child in September 2020.

Buckingham Palace's official announcement read, "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021. The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news."

Princess Eugenie currently stands 10th in line to the throne. However, both her and her older sister, Princess Beatrice, are living ordinary lives despite their royal titles. They both hold full-time jobs and do not carry out royal duties on behalf of the Queen, reports Woman and Home. They also do not receive any cheques from the Sovereign Grant, the government-supported fund that finances Queen Elizabeth II's official duties.

It was also Princess Eugenie and her husband's decision to raise their child without any official royal titles. An insider told Vanity Fair that "Eugenie knows that a title can be a curse as well as a blessing and she and Jack want their child to live an ordinary life and eventually work to earn a living,”

Town and Country reported that Princess Eugenie met Jack Brooksbank while skiing in Verbier, Switzerland in 2010, and he proposed to her in 2018 in Nicaragua.

"The lake was so beautiful. The light was just a special light I had never seen," she said of the surprise proposal. "I actually said this is an incredible moment, and then he popped the question, which was really surprising even though we have been together seven years. I was over the moon."

For her wedding, Princess Eugenie chose to wear a custom-made dress by British label, Peter Pilotto. She loaned the incredible Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara from her grandmother and paired it with matching emerald earrings, which were a gift from the groom reports People.

She chose not to wear a traditional veil and specifically chose a dress with a low back to proudly display the scar from a previous scoliosis surgery on her back.

This year, Princess Eugenie's sister, Princess Beatrice, married in a small and intimate ceremony to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a lavish wedding was not possible, but Princess Beatrice did end up having a picturesque and unique wedding in the summer, reports Harper's Bazaar

It's been a beautiful and important year for the York family, and we continue to wish them the very best.
