Post Office Worker Finds Missing Teen And Toddler Within 2 Weeks While Working Her Mail Route

Oct 17, 2019

She had been working as a mail carrier at the Vista Post Office located in California. In less than a year, she was not only a postal carrier. She was also a hero.

Abbey Motzer was discovered missing in April of 2019. Many volunteers searched the area around San Diego for almost a day trying to locate the teenager, but they couldn’t find her. To make matters worse, Abbey, who is autistic, didn’t take her cell phone or her wallet with her the day she left her house and disappeared.

A full day hadn’t passed before a postal worker named Chyanne saw the teen while she was delivering the mail. Abbey was in a trench with no shoes on her feet. The postal worker matched the girl’s face with the face she saw on a missing person poster.

Chyanne stated that postal workers who deliver the mail are inclined to be keenly aware of what’s going on around them. The main reason for this is mail carriers become very familiar with their routes.

She told San Diego’s Fox 5 nothing goes unnoticed, and nothing is missed by the people who deliver the mail. Nothing could be truer since soon after Abbey was located, Chyanne found another child on her route. This little girl was only three years of age and terribly frightened.

Although Chyanne doesn’t consider herself to be a hero, the people living in her local area do, and they’re commending her for what she’s done. To learn why she’s so admired, view the video that follows. Let's pass this incredible story on so that Chyanne gets the attention she deserves for her heroic actions.
