Police Officer Pulls Over Man - Then Looks Into His Car And Takes Him To Walmart

Dec 12, 2018

If you've ever been pulled over by a police officer, then you know that the outcome usually isn't good.

When LaVonte Dell saw blue lights in his rearview mirror, he wasn't expecting to go to Walmart with the officer.

LaVonte had his 3-year-old daughter in the back seat when he was stopped. He was already trying to get by financially, so paying a ticket wasn't something that he could afford. He was also looking for work so that he could feed his daughter.

When Officer Joshua Scaglione stopped LaVonte, a ticket was on his mind because the windows of the car were too dark. However, the officer did something that LaVonte will never forget. The officer looked at the back seat of the car and saw LaVonte's little girl. He then asked LaVonte to follow him to a local Walmart.

Wondering what was going on, LaVonte obliged and went to the store with Officer Scaglione. The officer bought a car seat for the little girl because there wasn't one in the car. He wanted to ensure that the child was protected while she was riding.

The car seat was pink with butterflies and other details on it that the little girl enjoyed. LaVonte was surprised and thankful. He didn't think that the officer would do something like that for him and expected to be written a ticket.

Instead, he was given a break and a little help so that he could provide for his daughter.
