Aug 28, 2019

Nature creates masterpieces all the time. The thing is most people don't see them or even notice them. But, photographers are sometimes given the chance to capture them.

Daniel Biber, of Hilzingen Germany, loves the unusual sights, colors, and shapes he's able to capture in a photo. A great opportunity came when he was visiting the Costa Brava in Spain. He was getting a lot of great photos. But, he found one that was truly magnificent.

He noticed a cloud of starlings rising up and started clicking photos. The birds started moving almost like a shape-shifting cloud, using murmuration behavior. It's a common enough sight. However, Daniel's photos captured something beautifully odd and truly magnificent.

He didn't notice it until the next day when he went to check his photos. It wasn't a random cloud shape he had captured. It was a bird-shaped mass of flying birds. The lines clearly show a bird in flight.

He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He was too focused on shooting photos instead of concentrating on what was happening. The photo says it all. A total masterpiece!

He entered it into an international photo competition. It was held by the Vogelwarte Sempach, a bird observatory, back in 2017. Over 6800 photos, captured by 540 photographers from around the world, were entered. Daniel won! His masterpiece captured something extra special.

These photos capture nature's beauty and grace at its finest. It's a masterpiece that captures attention from anyone who sees it. Biber's skill and talent as a photographer met with a moment of sheer luck to create something so beautiful. That's why he won the award and deserves many more!
