Ohio Dad Forces Teen Daughter To Chop Hair After Mom Gets Her Highlights For Birthday

Kelsey is a young girl from Ohio who recently celebrated a milestone birthday when she turned 13. To celebrate the occasion, Kelsey asked her mother if she would take her to get blonde highlights in her long brown hair.

Kelsey’s mother, Christin Johnson, was happy to oblige the birthday request. The pair visited the salon and Kelsey emerged feeling fantastic about her new look. Christin took to her Facebook to post pictures of her daughter and her beautiful highlighted hair.

After the appointment, Kelsey was dropped off to stay with her dad and stepmom for a few days. However, Christin was devasted when she picked Kelsey back up. The long and beautiful highlighted hair was gone. In its place was a short pixie cut with choppy sides that looked terrible.

Kelsey explained that her father had become so upset about the highlights that he made her chop it all off. Kelsey was clearly traumatized by this turn of events.

Christin went back to Facebook to post the new pictures. The actions of the father sparked outrage as more people learned of the offense. Many people suggested that Kelsy get extensions until the hair grew back out, but Christin said that the girl's father would only cut those off as well.
