Officers Respond To A ‘Noise Disturbance’ Call But End Up Having Fun Themselves

Aug 10, 2018

When two officers responded to a noise complaint in North Carolina, it all could have gone very wrong. Partygoers at a Fourth of July block party weren't happy to see them, but this was a very different type of party.

Officers Joe Jones and Carrie Lee turned up to find a giant slip 'n slide in operation. Right away, they realized that the noise that had caused the complaint was just the sound of children playing.

The officers did an inspection to make sure that any cars or emergency vehicles could get past the slip 'n slide without incident. Everything seemed safe, and there were no problems. That's when the fun began.

First, Officer Lee called for a trash bag. Then she took off her radio and went flying down the slide. Officer Jones was too big to fit on a trash bag, but a little boy found a raft. This time, it was his turn to go down the slide.

As it turned out, Officer Jones was the only one who made it all the way down the slide from the top to the bottom. Afterward, he commented that his butt was wet. The officers took pictures with the kids and wished them a good time. You can join the officers in their fun by taking a look at the video.
