Musician Pays Strangers' Check And Gets A Tearful, Emotional Response He Wasn't Expecting

Aug 03, 2018

Andy Grammer, famous sing-songwriter, was moved to help a group of strangers at a restaurant in Hampton Beach. Feeling a connection to the ladies because of the recent loss of his mother, he paid their check and was stunned to find out that one of them shared his pain.

Andy Grammer's heart told him to make a move when he saw a group of women nearby as he was eating his breakfast at the Sea Ketch restaurant in Hampton Beach. He described the five women as "SUPER CUTE" and said that he was reminded of his mother when he saw them.

With the memory of his mother in his mind, he decided to secretly pay for their meal as a gesture of kindness. But that wasn't all: he also felt the need to reach out to them and tell them that they'd made him miss his mother that day. He soon found out something that changed the interaction entirely.

He wasn't the only one missing someone.

One of the women said that she'd recently lost her son and spread out her arms to hug him. It was a rare mother-and-son embrace that moved both of them to tears. The surprise meeting seemed to be something set up by fate, as one of the women later said that his mother had "sent them" to him that day when responding to Andy's post on Facebook about the event.

The human connection is so strong sometimes that we have no idea we are meeting someone else who knows our pain. It's nothing short of amazing how these things work themselves out when we reach out to those around us. In his post about the meeting, Andy closed by saying:

"We are all so connected."
