Mother Buys Daughters Glow In The Dark Pajamas, Tells Kids They Need To Stay Still To 'Charge' Them

Trying to get kids to go to sleep can be a daunting task. Many parents can attest to the burst of energy little ones seem to get as soon as it is time to go to bed. After one mother accidentally discovered a surefire way to help her daughters calm down at bed time and go to sleep, she was so excited by her discovery that she decided to share it with other struggling parents.

Jessica D’Entremont’s discovery began the day she purchased her two young daughters glow-in-the-dark pajamas. When bedtime was approaching, Jessica’s excited daughters put on their new pajamas and cut off the lights to watch them glow. They were very disappointed when the pajamas did not glow as advertised.

Although Jessica realized that the reason the pajamas did not glow was because they had not had enough time to soak up the light from the room, she explained it to her daughters in a way that added an extra requirement. Jessica wrote on Facebook that she told her daughters that the pajamas could not glow correctly unless they were perfectly still while they soaked up the light.

Jessica was amazed to find her normally rambunctious daughter’s lying perfectly still in their bedroom floor dutifully waiting for their pajamas to charge. Not only did her daughters remain still, but they also began to doze off.

Only then did Jessica put them in their bed and cut off the light so they could finally see their pajamas glow. To make sure that her new idea continued to work, Jessica stored the glow-in-the-dark pajamas away from light all day so they would only glow after her daughters sat still for a significant period while the pajamas charged.

Jessica was so impressed with the glow-in-the-dark pajama trick that she shared her story on social media to help other parents of high-energy toddlers.
