Morgan Freeman's Grandson Aldric Graduates Senior Year, Will "Be A Pilot Like Grandpa"

On May 15th, 2020, beloved actor Morgan Freeman took to his Instagram to congratulate his grandson Aldric for graduating from Woodward Academy. He also hints to his own hobbies, as he notes that Aldric will becoming a pilot, as Freeman has pursued himself outside his acting career.

The congratulatory photo featured Morgan Freeman and his grandson Aldric together, with Aldric casually dressed in black and Morgan in a tuxedo outfit. Celebrating his grandson's graduation from Woodward Academy and acceptance into Embry Riddle Dalton, Morgan Freeman wrote:

"I'm very proud. And not just because you're going to be a pilot like grandpa!"

The "Shawshank Redemption" actor stressed how although graduating during this tough time may be difficult and without a traditional celebration, graduating is still a very significant achievement. 

Many fans commented on the Instagram post to congratulate Aldric and also recognize the hard time in which seniors are graduating due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

As for Aldric following in the Morgan Freeman's footsteps in piloting rather than acting, Freeman got his pilot license when he was 65 years old. He was also an airforce mechanic before he became a prominent actor. 

With the whole world going through challenging times, Freeman's post is a celebration of not only Aldric's graduation, but other seniors who are graduating during this time of well.
