Mom Is Startled And Delighted By Unborn Baby's Face On Ultrasound

When 17-year-old Iyanna Carrington reached the 24-week point in her pregnancy, she decided to confirm the gender of her unborn child by visiting the hospital and receiving an ultrasound scan.

She saw the image of the fetus, and it wasn't what she expected. The unborn child was looking directly at the camera with an expression that seemed to be grinning, and it was somewhat unsettling. The eyes were wide open and eerie-looking.

As images have circulated around the internet, people have been referring to it as the "devil baby" or "demon baby." The midwife told her that, despite the alarming sight of the image, the baby was completely normal, and the face was not unusual for a fetus of that age reports The Sun. When Iyanna posted the image on social media, she referred to the child as a devil baby and said she loved it very much despite the alarming nature of the image.

The nurse gave her the news that the baby was a girl, and Iyanna claimed that she had intuitively known this all along, but she just needed the scan to confirm her feelings. When she first saw the image at the doctor's office, she remarked that she thought it looked like a ghost. The doctor replied that it was totally normal due to the nature of the ultrasound imaging and the angle of the shot. The way those wide eyes stared at the camera was somewhat startling because the room was dark.

Although the baby has been dubbed the "devil baby" on the internet, her mother claims that she expects her to be a beautiful child. Iyanna still doesn't quite understand why the image of the face looks so strange. Some people have reacted by saying the image was fake, but Iyanna wants people to know that it is a genuine scan of her daughter. The father was also present during the ultrasound scan, and he thought it would be a boy because the couple already had two sons.
