Matteo Bocelli Follows In His Father's Footsteps With Haunting Duet Of Elvis Presley Favorite

If you are a fan of music, you probably know Andrea Bocelli, a legendary music producer, tenor vocalist, songwriter, and opera singer. This Italian music star is so influential that his life has touched so many.

Andrea's son Matteo Bocelli is also a singer, whose star is only rising. In this stunning performance from 2018, in a historic cave in Slovenia, Matteo performs a duet with Slovenian singer Drašček Nuška, as they cover Elvis Presley's hit Can't Help Falling In Love.

He first became famous when he carved a niche in opera, more so when he collaborated with Celine Dion in 1998 to produce The Prayer, a song that was an instant hit. Many people know Bocelli for his operatic epic tenor, and for being a loving parent, and the best guy to hang around with.

Bocelli seems to have passed his music genes to his two sons and a daughter. He had the two sons with his first partner, Enrica Cenzatti, and the daughter with his current wife, Berti Veronica, who also is his manager.

From the family's Instagram posts, it is clear that both Bocelli and his wife are striving to instill a passion for music and discipline in their daughter Virginia. However, it seems their older children are keener on taking up the music career from their father.

For example, Amos, the eldest son, appeared in his father's latest album Si, where his role was to play the piano. Amos tickled the piano keys for the audio variants of Wings of Freedom (Ali de Libertà), and I Am Here (Sono Qui).

The other son, Matteo, has distinguished himself as a singer. If you've heard the song Fall on Me, you need to know it's a duet produced by Matteo and his father, Bocelli.

Since Matteo is handsome and talented, his fan base is rapidly expanding, with many people now flocking online to view his videos. One clip that he posted in April has attracted over 175,000 views!

In 2018, Matteo also sang with Nuška Drašček, a Slovenian singer, during the celebration to mark the 200 years of the discovery of Slovenia's massive and majestic Postojna Cave. Apparently, 2018 was the best year for Matteo because it was in this year he performed a song by the rock-and-roll king, Elvis Presley, in a video that went viral. 

During that performance, the duo sang Can't Help Falling In Love. The performance occurred during the holidays leading to Christmas, and though it wasn't a festive get-together, their show impressed the audience. The acoustics were amazing, and the scenery unbelievably captivating because the show happened underground.

It was only recently that Filipcic Matej, the show's director, uploaded the video of the show online. Many fans already bet that the video will go viral and will attract many requests for Matteo's performance.

Drašček Nuška is another great singer known for powerful vocals. She's also known for her voice-over in the soundtrack, Frozen, where she served as Elsa's voice in the Slovene version of the film. Drašček is known for her music, which some may describe as operatic. Covering Elvis Presley wasn't a mean feat for these two singers, but their performance was extraordinary, and the audience could not complain. It was easy to tell that Presley's song is bang-up for duets.

Matteo's father also covered this Presley classic way back in 2015 while performing in Las Vegas. It would be of interest to compare it side by side with Matteo's performance.
