Man Who Secretly Rescued 669 Children During The Holocaust Gets A Surprising Reunion

Feb 07, 2017

The night before WWII began, Sir Nicholas Winton courageously saved hundreds of children and brought them to safety in Britain. The living survivors show their appreciation in this touching video!

In 1939, Winton who was a young stockbroker took it upon himself save these mainly Jewish young lives. Because of this amazing act of bravery, he was eventually knighted by Queen Elizabeth II and was given the Czech Order of the White Lion.

No one except him and those he had saved knew about this rescue. After years of keeping it a secret, his wife discovered an old scrapbook that told the entire story.

To honor and surprise him, many of those very individuals that he had saved years before came to show their appreciation. Watch the video to see this beautiful reunion.
