Lady Gaga Bags 3 Grammy Wins, Gives Moving Speech: "Don't Look Away When Someone's Hurting. Take Care Of Each Other"

Lady Gaga used her recent Grammy Award wins to speak out for those with mental illness issues.

During this year’s Grammy Awards event, Lady Gaga was nominated for five awards. Some of the awards she was nominated for include Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Song Written for Visual Media, and Best Pop Solo Performance. Gaga won in the last three categories listed above.

When she went on stage to accept the award for her unforgettable solo, "Shallow" from her recent movie "A Star is Born" she took the time to focus on awareness of mental health issues.

Her touching words left her fellow music industry members very moved.

In her speech, Gaga thanked God for looking out for her and thanked her family.

She also said that she was proud to be a part of a movie addressing mental health problems. Gaga also stated that artists need to stick together and take care of each other when they are hurting emotionally.

Lady Gaga has previously spoken on the topic of mental health during her career. In 2014, the famous singing star stated that she was raped at age 19, causing her to develop PTSD.

Gaga has undergone mental and physical health treatment to recover from her mental issues, as well as receiving a ton of support from her health care providers, family, and friends.

Lady Gaga’s most recent movie, "A Star is Born" centers around the story of Ally and Jack. Jack is a famous musician, and Ally remains a newcomer looking for a big break in the music business.

Jack assists Ally in getting her big break, but he falls a victim to his alcoholism problems, depression, and anxiety, reminding all of us just how crippling mental health issues can be.

The song "Shallow" has become an anthem for couples and individuals who have had to work through and endure significant hardships during their lives. "Shallow" leaves most of its hearers filled with emotion.

The ballad has also won such awards as Best Original Song-Feature film at the recent 2018 Music in Media Awards, and Best Song during the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. It also topped song charts around the world.
