Guitar-Playing Dad Films Golden Moment Of His 2-Year-Old Starting To Perform Elvis Presley Hit

Music education and appreciation are some of the most important things parents and teachers can impart to children. Music stirs a child's creativity, making the future brighter for forthcoming generations. In 2019, a musician who is a dad saw how his own interest in music inspired his 2-year-old son, and their story has since spread around the internet.

Steven Converse of Modesto, California, is a guitarist with a love of all types of music. Naturally, Converse's home is full of music, an inspiring environment for his young son, Daniel.

While the young dad knew that Daniel listened to his music, he didn't realize how much of an impact it had on him until Daniel began singing one of his father's favorite songs.

Writing about the occurrence to friends on Facebook, Converse told how he and his wife Jiyeon Jun were amazed when Daniel began singing the Elvis Presley hit "Can't Help Falling in Love." Daniel told of how he was amazed that his little boy was able to remember the lyrics to the Presley classic. It's so cute hearing him sing, "Take my hand, take my whole life too, for I can't help falling in love with you."

To encourage his son's interest in music, Converse later recorded Daniel singing the song in his studio while he strums along on the guitar, he told Good Morning America.

"He's always kind of shy about singing and stuff, but this is one song he really picked up on," the staff sergeant in the United States Air Force told GMA.

Originally, Converse didn't intend for the video to be a popular hit; he just wanted to be able to remember his adorable son doing something special at such a young age and perhaps play it back for him once he got older.

"I set up the camera because I wanted to kind of record like a family moment," he explained to GMA.

Those who have watched Daniel singing are enamored of his cute voice. These viewers pointed out that while he didn't remember all of the lyrics, he kept the song's beautiful melody and rhythm, making the "King of Rock and Roll" proud.

"To hear him, just like, memorize the words and sing it by himself was ... kind of a special moment for us," the proud papa remarked.

Viewers were taken by little Daniel, saying they saw a bright future ahead for the mini music star.

"My goodness!! What a beautiful little boy n he knew all the words too!! You go!! I do believe he just might have a future ahead of himself!!! Loved it!!" wrote one enthusiastic fan, while another commented, "Oh my gosh, this baby is frickin' AWESOME! I CANNOT believe his intonation! Most adults I've heard can't even sing on key! Dang! I almost fell over!"

In response to the viral video, Converse said he hoped his family's little moment of joy was something that could be shared by everyone. "This was Daniel's first time singing by himself and also first time on the microphone. Hope everyone enjoys the moment as we will for years to come," he wrote.
