Great Dane Puppy Loses It After Discovering Snow For The First Time Ever

Dec 13, 2018

Almost nothing looks as calm and peaceful as snowflakes falling outside your window on a cold winter day. For many people, however, snow is an unwelcome nuisance. It means lots of extra work to clear sidewalks, driveways, and walkways. Not to mention clearing it off of your vehicle. Still, it makes for a beautiful backdrop, especially during the holidays when you're bundled up inside with a yummy cup of hot cocoa.

Kids, however, tend to get excited about playing in heaps of snow. They love the idea of building snow forts, throwing snowballs, and building snowmen. It turns out that human kids aren't the only ones who look forward to playing in the white stuff this time of year. Some puppies also want to get in on the action, as this hilarious video of a Great Dane puppy discovering snow clearly demonstrates!

Donovan, an 11-month-old Harlequin Great Dane puppy, just recently saw snow for the first time. His precious reaction was all caught on camera, thanks to the quick thinking of his loving owner Amanda Gonchar.

Amanda and Donovan live in New Jersey, which tends to get some snow this time of year. She told a news outlet called StoryTrender that this was Donovan's first exposure to snowfall. It amazed and delighted him. In fact, he was such a fan of these magical snowflakes that she had a hard time convincing him to come back inside the house!

Donovan is beloved by all of Amanda's friends for his goofy antics. He's also a special puppy because he's being trained as a service dog. With his good nature and enthusiasm for the little joys in life, we're sure he'll be a big help and encouragement to someone special when his training is completed!
