Granddaughter Sneaks In Hospital Faking "Baby" Under Blanket Leaving Grandma Tearing Up With Actual Reveal

A love for a grandmother is like nothing else! Shelby Hennick has that love for her grandmother, Donna.

At only 21, Shelby knows exactly how much her grandmother loves her back.

She is extremely close to her. When Donna became sick and had to be rushed to the hospital, Shelby knew she would have to go see her and do whatever she needed to do to help her to feel happy again.

She began to think and think, just wondering what would make her feel any better. She thought about comfort foods, chocolates, and even flowers but they all just seemed a little dull. Then, the best idea came flooding into her head!

The plan took some thinking and definitely some trickery. Shelby felt like she could pull it off. Before heading to the hospital, she would need to go by her grandmother's house. She had to stop by there to grab Patsy, her grandmother's little pup.

In an interview with Inside Edition, Shelby told them that her Grandmother and Patsy haven't been apart since Patsy was born. She stated that Donna had even nursed the puppy from a bottle and cared for her day after day, sunrise to sunset and any other time in between when she was needed. She was always there for the little pup and made sure that she never needed or wanted anything for that matter.

Shelby said the dog is like her baby. She was so small, she could even fit into her hand. This is the kind of bond that stories are made of. The bond between Donna and Patsy was known throughout their entire family and that's exactly what inspired Shelby's idea

Because of Donna being admitted so quickly into the hospital, they didn't have enough time to ask a veterinarian if it would be ok for Patsy to visit her at the hospital. Shelby decided to make the decision herself.

She went by and grabbed Patsy. Then headed to the hospital. From there, she held Patsy like a baby and covered her up with a blanket. Everyone thought she was just holding a baby under the blanket. No-one even gave her a second look. She was able to go right through the glass doors at the hospital.

Shelby went on to say that she wasn't worried about what would happen if someone found out. She knew that no-one would try and stop her to see her baby so that's why she did what she did. Shelby said that the worst thing that could happen was they tell her to leave.

It's great to hear that the sneaking was worth it. Shelby's grandmother Donna was so excited to see her pup. They all believe this is what lead to her health improving in such a short amount of time.
