Albinism is what happens when the skin does not produce enough pigment. The condition can cause poor eyesight and blindness, even in animals. Although many albino animals are rejected by their families and species, this does not appear to be happening with this baby elephant.

By looking at the pictures and amazing video, the elephant seems to be accepted by the herd. In addition, the albino baby appears to be sticking close to its mother, a sign that normal bonding is happening between the two.

As told by the Inside Edition, 58-year old Nicki Coertze has been visiting the park since he was a child and has never seen an albino elephant. Knowing that it was an extremely rare sighting, Coertze wanted to take as many photos as possible.

You have never seen anything like this incredible elephant. Although it looks different than the rest of the herd, it is truly a beautiful animal in its own right. After you have had the chance to look through these stunning pictures and video, be sure to spread this story to all of your friends and family.
