Elderly Man Touches Hearts Of Queen Elizabeth’s Fans As He Goes Extra Mile In Homemade Royal Guard Outfit

Sep 23, 2022

When Queen Elizabeth II died, the world seemed to have stood still as her death brought grief to her fans from different parts of the globe.

But while most people kept track of the events leading to the queen’s funeral from their TV or phone screens, some were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the queen's coffin and pay their respect for the final time.

Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-serving monarch in British history, died in September 2022 — more than a year after Prince Philip passed away in April 2021. Philip's passing, on the other hand, ended his reign as the longest-serving British royal spouse, having been married to the monarch for 73 years in total.

Elizabeth was buried at the King George VI memorial chapel, which is the resting place of her parents, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, and her sister, Princess Margaret. Philip was also interred soon after and joined Elizabeth at the memorial chapel.

While many mourned the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, some see a silver lining following her passing: a moment to celebrate the simple life she lived while serving the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms until her last breath.

The late queen's funeral had drawn millions of mourners across different parts of the globe, with thousands lining up at Westminster Hall to catch a final glimpse of her and pay their respects one last time.

Although her death marked the end of an era for a well-loved monarch, Queen Elizabeth will forever be remembered for her service as well as her relationship with her late husband, Prince Philip, who stood by her side through thick and thin.
