Dog Stands On Hind Legs For As Long As It Takes To Steal Cookies

Food is undeniably one of life’s greatest pleasures. Whether your favorite foods are savory, sweet, salty or something else, everyone has their own unique idea about what the best kind of food is. Some people love Chinese food, others love Mexican, and some prefer traditionally American food above all the rest.

Whether you’re diving into some tacos or a classic cheeseburger, we all have our own favorite foods. These preferences even apply to animals. You may indulge your pet into some table food from time to time. Although these snacks should be healthy for them and very limited, there’s no harm in treating your pets.

But what happens when your dog’s favorite food is something they shouldn’t have? Well, they’ll find a way to steal it behind your back! In a video uploaded by his owner on Twitter,  you’ll see something you’ve probably never witnessed before. An adorable dog belonging to the Goldendoodle breed, Max, has found a unique way to steal the treats he enjoys so much.

Kenny Herman, Max’s owner, was unaware about the cookie thief until he saw footage himself. In fact, Kenny even attributed the missing cookies to his 5-year-old daughter Maddie. But when he found out who was actually stealing the cookies, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

And what exactly are the cookies that Max craves so badly? None other than Oreos! Kenny’s owner caught him in an interesting way. Believing that he would find footage of his daughter sneaking some treats before bed, he set up a camera in the kitchen.

After reviewing the footage, Kenny couldn’t believe his eyes. Not only was Max at fault for taking the cookies, but he did it on his hind legs! He seems to have no trouble balancing on his back legs as he places his head onto the counter to reach the undeniably tasty snacks.

What makes this situation even more hilarious is how picky Max is about his selection of cookies- he knocks some other cookies to the side in the process of finding the Oreos! Most people love this classic cookie, so it’s clear the dog has good taste.

But chocolate isn’t healthy or safe for dogs to consume, so his owners better start keeping the cookies on a higher shelf that Max can’t reach! You can watch the adorable video for yourself below.

"We suspected that Maddie, our 5-year-old, was stealing @Oreo's - so we set up a @googlenest to catch her red-handed. Instead, we caught Max, our 2.5-year-old Goldendoodle, red-pawed. Can't blame him. " Kenny Herman captioned the video on twitter.
