Dog Moves Chair Across Floor So He Can Sit Next To His Owner

Jan 18, 2020

Nothing provokes joy and giggles like cute animals attempting to be people. This latest display of adorable mimicry has made its way through Facebook and YouTube dozens of times just since December of last year and is well worth the hype.

It may not sound too impressive, but what the dog manages to do speaks volumes about just how much dogs apparently can understand, and how it doesn’t take any words at all to demonstrate love and devotion.

The video starts by showing a man with his back turned to the dog, and the dog is clearly a bit restless, itching for a little more attention. Obviously not satisfied with sitting on the floor, he eyes the other chair in the room. You can literally see the wheels turning.

Luckily for the pooch, this chair is on wheels and it takes a minimal amount of effort to get it out from under the other desk. At that moment, the man notices the commotion and turns to look at the dog to see what he’s up to.

If you’ve ever caught a child misbehaving and gotten that frozen, deer-in-headlights, “I wasn’t doing anything” stare, then you’ll recognize what happens next. The dog immediately halts what he’s doing and innocently stares at the owner, who, once satisfied, turns back around and gets back to work.

Not to be deterred, once the man’s back is turned, the dog is back in business and manages to push the chair right next to the man and hop up in it in one fell swoop. The two lock eyes again, now hilariously only inches apart and the man seems to laugh when the dog gives him a loving nudge in the face. The pup’s tail gives away his delight self-satisfaction as it starts to wag happily, and his companion seems to take a pic, obviously entertained by the dog’s cuteness.

The only thing missing from the adorable video is a head pat. Many people on the Reddit thread were furious that the man never gave the sincere dog a good petting, but who are we to judge?
