Delivery Worker Sits At Piano To Teach Girl To Play Blues Music

Sep 26, 2020

It is without a doubt that we all love receiving packages. Almost everyone can relate to the excitement and enthusiasm felt when receiving orders we had only placed a few days ago. What most of us fail to realize, however, is that our delivery drivers always try their best to deliver our packages on time. They often work through harsh weather conditions and operate throughout the day. Their commitment as well as dedication to their work is nothing short of admirable.

When drivers are not delivering our packages, they find joy in a variety of hobbies. From spending time with family to handling a second job, delivery drivers seem to be skilled in every aspect of life. A video from 2019 shows a UPS driver sharing his talents with the public, and in particular, showing one girl how to play the piano boogie-woogie style.

Be sure to reach the end of this article to see the full video :-)

The video takes place at King's Cross railway station in London, reports Sweet & Savory. At this railway station, there is a piano available for use by the general public. While this may seem unusual, the melodious tune of the piano is enough to soothe and improve anyone's day.

There are thousands of people traveling through this station daily and it is not uncommon for someone to sit down and play the piano. Of course, there may be a select few who decide to test their luck on the piano, but none dare to command the attention of the entire station.

In the video, we see a young woman sitting down at the piano and trying her hand at a classical waltz. She is approached by a UPS worker who asks if he can have a try. When he attempts to play the waltz, he glances at the woman for guidance. Little does she know that he needs absolutely no guidance. When the woman walks away to take a phone call, the UPS worker begins to play the melody beautifully, showing that he is perhaps much more than just a beginner.

He eventually transitions into a rendition of the blues. Onlookers and passers-by stop to enjoy his performance before they continue on their way. When he finishes, he is greeted by the delightful sound of clapping. The young woman comes back and admits that she thought he was a beginner at first. The UPS worker claims that he is not very good at reading sheet music, and that is why he was stumbling so much. The one thing he is good at is improvisation.

She sits back down and attempts to learn as the worker shares his tips for playing the blues. They then begin playing, with her on the bottom part and him on a solo. The result is something so joyful that everyone began to watch. The exchange has been posted on the internet, gaining over six million views and 49,000 likes.

Next time you come across a delivery worker, be sure to thank them for their service. Without them, we would not be able to receive our packages on time, nor be able to order items across a large distance.
