Dancers Do Stirring 'Dancing Cowboy' Performance

Aug 09, 2020

Back in 2014, 10 dancers from Brazil performed a western country dance dressed as cowboys.

If you are a fan of dance, you may already have done line dancing at least once in your lifetime. There are many types of Western dances, including the Two-Step, Cowboy, Waltz, and Polka Ten Step. The speed and difficulty depend on the dance and if you are up for a challenge, you can try the West or East Coast Swing or Nightclub Step.

Country Western dances can lead to a night of fun and excitement as everyone enjoys themselves. Of course, these dances can also be a show-stopper. 10 dancers from Brazil performed a Western country dance dressed as cowboys.

Their costumes were complete with large belt buckles, white shirts, the typical cowboy hats, and obviously, cowboy boots with spurs on them. The performance was allegedly held at the Cowboys Western Country Show in Montana. The dancers put on an excellent show as they danced to the catchy tunes of Turn In On, Turn It Up, Turn Me Loose, a song written by Heidi Hauge.

The performance was full of enthusiasm and it is evident that the dancers were truly enjoying themselves. With their impressive footwork and smiling face, the group has definitely followed through with their motto.

The perfect synchronization of the dance group grabbed the attention of the audience and they grew captivated by the performance. The dance was full of jumps, kicks, stomps, and spins, each choreographed to fit the beats of the song. The group executed each move perfectly, never missing a single beat.

The stage that the group performed on was quite small, mostly due to the audience swarming the dancers as they performed. It was as if the music told their bodies how to move. Looking at them, you could easily tell how much effort and time had gone into practicing the dance.

The best part about this performance is how the audience's interest grows over time. At the beginning of the dance, the audience is only mildly interested. This is expected because the group does not seem that captivating at first glance. As the group lines up and performs a small trick, the audience's curiosity is peaked. They begin wondering what the dance group has in store for them.

By the end of the dance, almost everyone in the audience is leaning in their seats and clinging to every movement of the dancers. The dance is full of originality and energy. It makes you want to stand up and join in with them.

Of course, most of us probably would not be able to keep up. In the group of all-male dancers, there is only one female dancer. She is easy to miss in the first minutes of the dance because she blends in with the men. If you look closely during the third minute of the performance, you will be able to spot her dancing in the second row of dancers.

Her hair is braided under her hand, in a traditional Western cowgirl style. At the end of the performance, the crowd bursts into applause as they whistle and cheer for these amazing dancers.

This dance shows that every genre of music has its fun side, as long as you are willing to give them a try.
