Couple With 61-Year Age Gap Turn To IVF In Hopes Husband Can Become A First-Time Father

Starting a family looks different for every couple. Fortunately, there are several options, such as adoption or surrogacy, for folks with fertility issues. The latter option is what 24-year-old Miracle Pogue and her husband Charles Pogue looked into.

According to Miracle’s Instagram, she is an entrepreneur. She has her own business called Kuriosities, which centers around provocative adult toys. In her bio, she explained that she struggled during her nursing school days but found a real passion for helping people “feel good” through acts of love. After she finished nursing school, Miracle worked as an LPN at a women’s health clinic and found an interest in sexual health. Soon, she decided to start her own business and help others embrace their own sensuality.

Miracle has shown a true passion for love, so it’s not surprising that she is in a committed relationship. What may be surprising to many, though, is that she found love with an 85-year-old man.

Miracle and Charles’ age gap has created quite a buzz with people online as many followers were surprised to hear that a young woman was dating someone who was old enough to be her grandfather – or even older. However, the pair’s 61-year age gap hasn’t seemed to stop their love for one another.

The Mississippi couple has shared aspects of their relationship online through social media, specifically on Miracle’s TikTok account. They show themselves doing everything from mundane tasks like watching television together to more adventurous activities like traveling.

But their biggest adventure has yet to come as Miracle and Charles hope to become parents through IVF.

According to the Mirror, the Pogues met in 2019 while Miracle was working in a launderette and instantly hit it off. Miracle called Charles her “knight in shining armor.” She “knew he was older,” but it didn’t matter as she had already developed strong feelings for him. She shared:

“I don’t care if he’s 100 or 55, I like him for him. I thought he was maybe 60 or 70 because he looks so good. He’s always up and active.”

Charles, a retired real estate agent, felt the same, as he said, “There’s no problem with the age difference.” He proposed to Miracle in February 2020. The pair tied the knot in July 2022. The 85-year-old man is older than Miracle’s grandfather, Joe Brown, who is 72 years old.

The couple now hopes to start a family of their own. “I want him to have another generation,” Miracle explained. “We’re looking to go to an IVF clinic to talk about our options.” She said the pair visited a clinic before but “felt the pre-judgment,” which was “quite overwhelming.”

However, the Pogues’ desire to have children has seemingly outweighed any negativity thrown their way. “Now I’m forgetting it as long as they give me my baby. Maybe Charles’ age will stop us from having children but I have an open mind. It may not work,” Miracle said.

While Miracle knows she’ll "outlive" her husband, she tries to cherish every minute with him, which is evident through her heartfelt TikToks with Charles. Although they receive criticism, their love has continued to persevere.

“I will be well off with or without Charles, it’s a choice to be with him and it makes me feel good that he chooses me,” Miracle said.
