Couple Gets Married After Their Respective Spouses Dump Them On Exact Same Day

Mar 11, 2019

They say that when one door closes, a window opens. They also say that everything happens for a reason. For one couple, those two adages became almost eerily true…on the exact same day. It usually takes months, even years, before you can see the open window after a door kicks you in the behind.

For Brittany and Tyler, it took about 70 days. The two went from strangers that bonded over struggles in their marriages, to best friends, to husband and wife. Their love story is perhaps one of the most unique and unconventional you may ever here. However, the two lovebirds are so grateful they met, and they are now living life to the fullest as husband and wife.

Brittany and Tyler met at a leadership convention that their respective employers sent them to in Seattle. The two met by chance at the event, sparking up a polite conversation relating to the event itself. As the conversation went on, the topics became a bit more serious.

After a good deal of time, the conversation turned to their marriages. They breached the topic timidly at first. However, they soon both realized that the other one was struggling extremely hard in a difficult marriage. Both were at their wit’s end and had tried everything they could think of to work on saving their marriage.

“We instantly had gravitated to each other because of our personalities. It was strictly a friendship and really just opened up with each other,” Wright told InsideEdition.com.

Brittany and Tyler became good friends, with no romantic element, almost immediately as they discussed what they were going through. However, at the end of the conference, Brittany received a surprising voicemail from her husband asking for a divorce.

“We were both married and both in bad marriages and confided in each other because we both understood.”, Wright told InsideEdition.com.

She returned home with a broken heart. That same day she received another call. It was from Tyler, telling her that he returned to find his wife had packed up and left him, also wanting a divorce.

Neither person wanted their marriage to end. However, both of their significant others went through with the divorce. The two leaned on each other as they both went through one of the hardest experiences of their lives.

They spent 70 days as best friends while each divorce became final. By the end of their time as friends, both Brittany and Tyler knew that they had found their true soulmate. The pair made it official with a beach wedding.

Both Tyler and Brittany say that they couldn’t be more blessed for the almost magical circumstances that brought them together during such a difficult experience. Do you believe in fate? Tell us your stories of how a closed door has opened a window in your life.
