Cop Goes On A Call And Gets Smitten With Abandoned Puppy

Oct 11, 2019

A litter of puppies arrive at the doorstep of an animal shelter during a very cold night. One officer ends up making a perfect match with one of the pups. This is their love story.

Officer Marcus Montgomery was finishing up a call at the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society shelter one day. One of the supervisors at the shelters wanted to talk to him about a new arrival. Now, Marcus isn't a stranger to the shelter. In fact, he adopted his 4-year-old pit bull terrier from them. So, the supervisor knew the officer was a true animal lover.

The night before, someone had dropped off a box at the shelter's back door. Inside were 10 puppies. The temperature that night was down to 37 degrees that night. The staff came in to find the box of shivering pups.

The supervisor told Marcus, "You know Vader needs a baby brother." Vader is Marcus' pit bull terrier. Then, she brings in the little pup. He's quiet and very relaxed, no whining and no barking.

It was love at first sight. The officer and pup were instantly bonded. The little canine curled up in Marcus' arms and that was it. His name is now Kylo, and he is going home with Marcus as a gift to his girlfriend.

"Humans suck. Leave pups on back porch in cold. He’s MINE," he wrote on IMGUR.

The people who left Kylo and his siblings in the cold truly suck. But, people like Officer Montgomery and his girlfriend totally rock! We hope Vader enjoys his new baby brother. He's already has a smile on his face.
