Comedian Brad Williams Who Has Dwarfism Raises Over $200,000 To Send 9-Year-Old Bullied Kid To Disney Land

Earlier this week, a 9-year-old boy named Quaden was filmed by his mother, Yarraka Bayle, as he cried as a result of bullying at school. The boy, who has dwarfism, is bullied by his school mates for his physical appearance. 

After his mom posted the video on her Facebook account, Quaden received support on social media from people all over the world outside his home of Brisbane, Australia, including Europe and the United States. Now, Brad Williams, a stand-up comedian who also has dwarfism, has managed to raise $200,000 on a GoFundMe page to help get Quaden a holiday to Disney Land.

This Tuesday, Yarraka Bayle took to Facebook to post a video of her distraught son, who expressed he had suicidal thoughts due to bullying he experiences at school every day. 

When comedian Brad Williams came across the video, he set up a GoFundMe page to help get Quaden a trip to Disney Land. The fund, which was set up yesterday, has since raised over $200,000 from more than 9,000 donations. 

“I’m setting up this GoFundMe to let Quaden know that bullying will not be tolerated and that he is a wonderful human being who deserves joy,” the fundraiser’s description reads. “I want to fly Quaden and his mother to America, get them a nice hotel, and bring them to Disneyland.”

In the video, Bayles said she saw her son run "to the car in hysterics because he doesn’t want me to make a scene at the school.” Bayles said that she saw the other student patting her son on the head and making fun of his height. 

Quaden can be heard in the video voicing his suicidal thoughts through tears while his mom says:

 "I’ve got a son who is suicidal almost every single day. This is what bullying does, people."

Quaden's mom also explained in the video how the bullying isn't just school-related but happens almost every time that they are out in public. According to an interview with Australian outlet SBS, Bayles said that Quaden first attempted suicide at as young as six years old, after the death of his grandfather. 

“I just want people to know and see the impact because this could be your child, or your child could be the bully that pushes a kid over the edge,” Bayles said in the video while choking up. “God forbid we lose another child to suicide because of the bullying.”
