The scientist Jane Goodall and a chimp named Wounda are the stars of the video. Having been an advocate for primates for several years, Jane is known for her work in animal rehabilitation.

She spent a significant portion of her life rehabilitating sick chimpanzees to prepare them for another chance at living in the wild. After working with chimpanzees for years, Goodall founded the Jane Goodall Institute located in the Congo.

This particular story begins with Wounda, a chimpanzee that arrived at the rescue center in Tcimpounga.

When she arrived, Wounda was ill and frail--far too weak in her current state to ever survive in the wild.

Wounda was relocated to the island of Tchindzoulou to aid in the recovery process.

On the island, the chimp received the care and treatment that saved her life.

After a considerable amount of time in rehabilitation, Wounda was able to regain her health and strength. When the time came for Wounda to finally leave, it was tough for both the chimp and Jane to say their goodbyes.

In the video, Jane thanks her coworkers for giving Wounda the life saving care she needed.

As the video goes on, it is clear that Wounda feels deep affection for the people that rescued her. Embracing Jane, Wounda is clearly hesitant to say goodbye.

This story shows us the life changing power of kindness, affection, and care. We hope that others are inspired by Jane Goodall's actions and the work of her coworkers.
