Blind Man Loses It When He Gets To See His Wife And Son For The First Time

Gene Purdie has suffered from Stargardt’s disease since he was young. But thanks to some advanced tech glasses, he was given the chance to see his wife and baby boy. His reaction is priceless.

Stargardt’s disease breaks down the retina and causes the center of vision to be completely blurry. So for Gene, life is a puzzle of shapes and images. 

His wife noticed on the Rachel Ray show that she sometimes brings guests on with similar conditions. So after writing to the show, they appeared on an episode for Gene try out these miraculous goggles. 

Once he put them on, the moment was picture perfect as he was amazed by how beautiful his wife and son are. And then the final twisted happened, his parents were brought up to appear before him as well.
