Ben Affleck Credits Bradley Cooper With Helping Him On His Journey To Sobriety

Multi-award-winning actor Ben Affleck opened up this week about his struggle with alcohol addiction.

In a candid interview with ABC news, the 47-year-old revealed he received support from his fellow actor Bradley Cooper on his journey to sobriety.

Earlier this week, Ben Affleck spoke to ABC News’ Diane Sawyer got candid about his struggles with addiction and his eventual recovery. 

"There are things that I would love to go back and change," he said.

 "I have regrets. I made plenty of mistakes, some big, some small. I wish I could go back in time and change all kinds of things, but I can't."

The actor also touched topic on how his fellow Hollywood friends Bradley Cooper and Robert Downey Jr. helped him through his hard times when battling alcohol addiction. 

"Bradley and Robert have been really helpful to me and really supportive,” Affleck told Sawyer. "They're wonderful men."

Brad Pitt is another celebrity who recently opened up about how Bradley Cooper helped him get sober. Last month at the annual National Board of Review awards gala, Cooper awarded Pitt with the ‘Best Supporting Actor’ distinction for his role in ‘Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood’. 

In his speech upon receiving the award, Pitt thanked his long-time friend Bradley Cooper for helping him get sober and change his life.

"Thank you, Bradley. Bradley just put his daughter to bed and rushed over here to do this," Pitt said in his speech. "He's a sweetheart. I got sober because of this guy and every day has been happier ever since. I love you and I thank you."
